A real-time environment created as part of my university course. This was my first attempt at a whole environment, and my first time going in-depth into Unreal Engine 4's material editor, render settings, and Movie Queue. Over the course of 3 months, I created this apartment scene using references from real-life apartment listings and furniture sellers to create as life-like an environment as possible. I used Quixel Megascans for some smaller details, such as books on a bookshelf, as this saved a lot of time and helped make the scene feel more lively.
All assets (except for those taken from Quixel) were textured in Substance Painter, and many of the materials were created in Substance Alchemist. All modeled in Autodesk Maya and arranged and rendered in Unreal Engine 4 using GPU Lightmass for light maps and Movie Render Queue for the final images.
